Ashish Kumar Chauhan Announced As The Next MD & CEO Of NSE

- The National Stock Exchange (NSE) announced the appointment of its new MD and CEO and its Ashish Kumar Chauhan
- He succeeds Vikram Limaye, whose five-year term concluded on 16 July 2022.
- He was one of the founders of the National Stock Exchange, and he worked there from 1992 to 2000.
- He is known as the "father of modern financial derivatives in India" because of his work at NSE.
- This is Ashish's 2nd tenure in the BSE, and under SEBI guidelines, a candidate cannot be appointed MD & CEO for more than 2 tenures.
- BSE is searching for a new CEO in place of Ashish.
- As per SEBI norm, the MD and CEO of a stock exchange have to apply and compete with other candidates for the top job after completing the 5-year term.
