PM Modi Unveiled National Emblem On The Roof Of The New Parliament Building
Highlights:
- PM Narendra Modi unveiled the National Emblem cast on the New Parliament Building's roof.
- He interacted with the Shramjeevis involved in the building work of the new Parliament.
- It is cast at the top of the Central Foyer of the New Parliament Building.
- The National Emblem is made up of bronze with a total weight of 9500 kgs and is 6.5 m in height.
- A supporting structure of steel weighs around 6500 kgs and has been constructed to support the Emblem.
- The concept sketch and process of casting of the National Emblem on the roof of New Parliament Building has gone through eight different stages of preparation from clay modeling/computer graphic to bronze casting and polishing.
- The emblem was created by Sunil Deore from Aurangabad and Laxman Vyas from Jaipur and the fabrication was carried out in Aurangabad, Jaipur and Delhi, the government’s consultant for the project, HCP Design, Planning and Management Ltd..
- It had taken nine months to complete the bronze sculpture that measured 4.34 metres in width.
