Highlights:

  • First National Logistics Excellence Awards was hosted by Government of India in New Delhi. 
  • Union minister Piyush Goyal and minister of state for commerce and industry Som Parkash rma presented awards in 12 categories.
National Logistics Excellence Awards:
  • National Logistics Excellence Awards are presented with the aim of acknowledging many logistics service providers in India, that have been able to display innovation, efficiency and diversity.
  • The first edition comprises of 169 entries and 12 categories for awards.
  • Commerce and Industries Ministry undertook a year-long process to identify, categorise, and select qualified applications.
  • An expert screening committee, comprising of 18 diverse experts as well as a national jury of 9 senior dignitaries was created to make final deliberations.
  • Best Cargo Airline & Terminal Operator award was given to FedEx Express Transportation and Supply Chain Services (India)
  • Best Road Freight Service Provider award was given to DHL Supply Chain India
  • Best Rail Freight Service Provider award was given to Adani Logistics
  • Best Shipping & NVOCC service Provider award was given to Maersk India
  • Best Port Service Provider award was given to DP World
  • Best Warehouse Service Provider award was given to Transport Corporation of India Ltd.
  • Best Cold Chain/Refrigerated service provider award was given to Transport Corporation of India
  • Best Express Logistics Service Provider award was given to Safexpress
  • Best Logistics Infrastructure and Service Provider award was given to Adani Logistics
  • Best Freight Forwarder award was given to Kuehne + Nagel
  • Best Customs House Agent/Customs Broker award was given to International Clearing & Shipping Agency (India)
  • Industry Excellence Award was given to Sun Pharmaceutical Industries
